My work explores the relationship between the built landscape and the human experience of transit. I use signs, motels, and functional structures as symbols of promise—rest, shelter, continuity—that over time become fragments of memory and wear. Isolated within open and quiet environments, these elements lose their original function and instead become witnesses to constant movement and abandonment.
Through a precise gaze and close attention to material detail, I seek to capture the tension between what these spaces once were and what they now represent: places suspended between past and present, where the journey appears to have paused, yet the human trace remains.
