La isla del día después, como ha querido el artista llamar a este conjunto, retiene de la tormenta (o huracán), las crestas que han golpeado el rostro de la ciudad y la inundación. Sus emplazamientos monocromáticos, unas veces radiantes, otras, difusos, revelan un estado interior que Camejo aspira llevar al espectador. En estas acuarelas se vuelve siempre al acto de pintar. No (re)producen, sino (re)crean imágenes que vienen más del impulse y la energía de la creación que del apunte fotográfico de la realidad. Son sus vivencias a propósito del context. Impresiones puestas a coincidir, marcas en cada horizonte, integradas a ese discurso que es el de la superficie pictórica. El de la luz. Mientras – en el tiempo que nos pertenece – lo acompaña la inquietude acerca de la accidentada y contradictoria travesía que separa el mañana de este presente.
The island the day after, as the artist chose to call this series, captures the storm (or hurricane), the crest that has hit the face of the city and flooded it. His monochromatic sites, sometimes radiant, sometimes obscured, reveal an inner state to which Camejo aims to take the viewer. In these watercolors he always returns to the act of depicting. Not (re)producing, but (re)creating images that come more from the impulse and energy of their creation than any photographic point of reality. They are your experiences by way of the context. Impressions established to coincide, landmarks in each horizontal line, integrated into the discourse as in the pictorial surface. The light. While - in the time that it belongs to us – it accompanies the uneasiness about the troubled and contradictory journey that separates tomorrow from the present.
