Persil. Para Vivir. Parsley. For living (for a good life).
Spices were considered precious in ancient times. In Cuba, there is a popular saying "From food comes love". There is a relation between the flavor of the food and the feeling. Herbs are used for a kind of human cleansing, searching for good energy.
This series is a play on the meaning and use of the spices, like a sorcerer who prepare a potion, a magic brew to solve the daily life problems, to avoid to cry, to fall in love, to find the happiness or the fame. The whole series is composing by 12 different spices. And the title is rhyme playing on words in Spanish what elucidates the meaning and purpose of each spice or seasoning is for. The prints are near by a philosophical and white magic illustration.
